I am an animal cognition researcher with a multidisciplinary background.

After earning my first PhD in Palaeontology at the University of Granada (under the supervision of prof. Antonio Checa), I went to the University of Georgia to study tool use in wild chimpanzees under the mentorship of comparative psychologist, primatologist and Emerita Professor of Psychology, Dorothy Fragaszy.

I earned my PhD in Comparative Cognition at the Goffin Lab (Messerli Research Institute, Vetmeduni), under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Alice Auersperg. I have focused the last several years on exploring the fascinating cognitive and tool-using abilities of Goffin's cockatoos.
